Samarria Brevard Interview (2012)How were you introduced to skateboarding and what got you started? I was introduced to skateboarding through my brother and my friend.
Do you remember what your first setup was? My first setup was a Active pinstripe deck, Thunder trucks, Spitfire wheels, Active bearings, and Active hardware.
Were there any early influences on your skating? I didn't know anything about skateboarding when I first started I was just doing it because my brother and my friend were doing it.
What is the best and worst thing about your hometown? The best thing about my hometown its my home and the worst thing about it the skate spots out here are weak except for like two.
Besides skateboarding, what do you like to do in your spare time? I like to play basketball and video games.
Where do you like to skate? I like skating in LA because they have way better parks than Riverside. I also like skating Fergusson skatepark in Rialto, CA.
Do you like skating contests? Favorite contest? Skating contests is fun, I enjoy it. My favorite contest is the Gatorade Free Flow Tour because that was the first actual skateboard contest I skated.
Where has skateboarding allowed you to travel? Which is your favorite? Skateboarding has allowed me to travel to San Jose and Arizona. Arizona was my favorite because they have beasty skateparks.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go? I would travel to Italy with my grandma because she really wants to go.
What kind of music do you listen to? I like Dubstep, Rock, Alternative, Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B. I mainly like Dubstep.
What is something most people don't know about you? I'm part German.
So far, what have been some of the highlights of your skateboarding? So far my highlights have been being alternate for X Games, winning Supergirl, and getting sponsored by hoopla.
What do you have planned for this year? This year I hope to film a legit video part, and get some more sponsors.

I like give shout outs to my mom and dad for giving birth to me, my brother Kasiene Brevard and My best friend Tre Williams for getting me started and keeping me going, Ana Paula for taking some super legit photos of me and Lisa Whitaker for helping me get to where I'm at now.
